My weekly group sessions offer expert support, clear guidance, and targeted exam preparation. With a tailored approach, interactive tasks, and engaging resources, I help students strengthen key skills, revise effectively and grow in confidence.

Each group is limited to just 8 students, allowing for focused attention while encouraging collaborative learning. Working alongside peers helps students share ideas, think independently, and develop resilience. These are skills they’ll need in the exam room and beyond.

Resources for the full half term are provided in advance, so students can prepare at their own pace. This reduces anxiety and helps them feel ready to engage before each lesson begins.

Why do I recommend group sessions?

My group sessions are fast-paced, engaging, and full of energy, with a rich mix of ideas, perspectives, and interpretations. Students learn a great deal from hearing how others approach a task, explain a concept, or structure a response.

This kind of collaborative environment is especially valuable in English, where discussion, debate, and multiple viewpoints help students deepen their understanding. Over time, students also build the confidence to speak up, share their thinking, and respond to others, which is an essential skill both for the classroom and for life beyond school.

Hi, I’m Zoe, the founder of Charles Education. With 24 years of teaching experience and a background as a qualified examiner, I help students master the skills they need for success in English Language and Literature. I know what examiners are looking for, and I use that knowledge to guide students clearly and confidently through their GCSE journey.

What sets my teaching apart is more than subject expertise.

I focus on building self-belief, creating a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without fear. My lessons are designed to meet each learner where they are, whether they’re aiming for a secure pass or pushing for a top grade.
